Check Out the New U.S. $100 Bill

A colorful, vibrant, more secure $100 bill will enter circulation today (October 8). New features include a 3-dimensional blueish-purple ribbon down the center, which is woven into the paper. When the bill is tilted, a printed Liberty Bell and the number 100 run down the bill.

A copper-colored inkwell over part of the Declaration of Independence printed on the bill’s front side also reveals a Liberty Bell inside it when the bill is tilted. Photos below:

The bill was originally set to release in 2011, but troubles with printing delayed its distribution.
